Anjuna Beach House
This was the first of five beach houses I was to design and build in Goa - all from previously derelict structures, within 100m of the water’s edge.

Restored from an old derelict South Anjuna pizza house from Goa's hippie days I created an old "adobe" look by throwing and smoothing wet cement onto the stone exterior walls and later painting them in a stone colour and "ragging" a slightly darker tone on top.

I added old coconut wood beams above the doors and a kadappa stone floor. The remnants of a dumped gate-leg table made for a perfect console table. The sun loungers are in brick, moulded cement and yellow oxide IPS

The only remnants of the pizza house are kept above the internal doorway. The sofas are in brick, moulded cement and yellow oxide IPS with mattresses and cushions added. The strung mother-of-pearl shells I found in a ditch and hung in the doorway. The wall light supports I got made in copper tubing
